Pride & Prejudice, and knitting!

Aah, two obsessions side by side! As I thought through what was going to be a good knitting afternoon, I pondered watching some good Austen fun! At 1pm, I started watching A&E's Pride & Prejudice while getting started on two new projects. Now, after just watching the lake scene (I <3 Colin Firth), I decided to let others in on my obsession.

I am sitting here in my living room with 4 out of the 6 hours done on the miniseries with two new projects in the works. The first is an Odessa hat that is all MINE!!!! I had made some fingerless gloves a few years ago and never made a matching hat although I had bought the yarn. Now, after a long time, it will be used up.

Second is an earwarmer thing that I am creating for Josh. I will have to write up the pattern when I am done and post it on Ravelry. Who knows if it will work or not. If so, I might have to make myself one. It is using Cascade Fixation (cotton, elastic, and machine washing, oh my!). Josh will get a black one, and I am tempted to make myself one in black and hot pink. We will be stylish on our runs this winter around Green Lake!

Now onto the best part of the miniseries. Lizzie shaming Lady Catherine de Burgh!

Sweater Weather

This November, I am attempting to wear all of my sweaters without repeat. It will last about a month if I wear at least one sweater a day. As of the last 9 days, I have worn 9 different sweaters. If I didn't have 4 other projects going, I'd try and knit a sweater. Maybe in the spring...

I heart Wedgwood

Every fall I remember why Fall has become my favorite season, and why it's even better in Seattle. Before Josh and I moved to the Wedgwood Neighborhood, I would always comment on the beautiful fall foliage.

So, while I walked to the post office yesterday, I tried valiantly to capture a bit of the red leaf-works that happen at this time of year.

Now it is time for a good cup of hot spiced cider, a blanket and knitting.
